Southwest Washington Law Firm Seeks Lateral Associate Tacoma, Washington One of the fastest growing law firms in Southwest Washington, Phillips Burgess, PLLC seeks to add an experienced, self-motivated Lateral Associate with at least 5 years’ experience join our Tacoma team.
Practicing from offices in Olympia and Tacoma, our boutique firm focuses exclusively on real estate, land use, environmental and business law, enabling us to provide our clients with the depth of knowledge and experience in these practice areas normally found only in the largest regional firms. In addition, our municipal law practice provides both general counsel and specialized legal representation services in our focus areas to a range of special purpose districts and local agencies in Western Washington.
Candidates should have strong academic credentials, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to deliver exceptional client service to every client, every time.
Public or private sector experience in one or more of our firm’s core practice areas is required. Our ideal candidate will have experience with Washington business entity formation and/or complex transactions.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Juris Doctorate from accredited law school.
• Admittance and good standing with the Washington State Bar Association. • 5+ years’ experience in a private practice law firm, corporate/local governmental legal department, or equivalent.
• Direct and relevant practice experience in real estate, land use, environmental, business, and/or municipal law is required.
• Prior judicial clerkship or law review experience is preferred.
