After three decades of scientific research, evidence overwhelmingly confirms that hope is a leading predictor of personal wellbeing. Hope is attributed to increased happiness, improved physical and mental health, higher productivity, lower turnover and increased job satisfaction. The positive psychology construct of Hope Theory offers insight into the ways hope contributes to personal wellbeing and effectiveness. Jon Tunheim will present the audience with the language and framework of Hope Theory and provide insight on how to use the science of hope to stay hopeful and also increase client hope and satisfaction.
