CLAIMS SPECIALIST 1 OR 2
Starting Salary: $53,135.00 – $78,013.00 depending on experience and credentials

This exempt position provides claims supervision, direction, support and administration to the agency. Work is performed following established office procedures and general directions. Requirements for this position include:
Claims Specialist 1 (for the job-description click on the title)
Four (4) years’ experience performing a variety of the essential duties and responsibilities. High school diploma or GED supplemented by continuing education, training, or experience in any academic or professional setting that you deem appropriate.
Valid Washington State driver license at the time of hire.
Claims Specialist 2 (for the job-description click on the title)
Eight (8) years’ experience performing a variety of the essential duties and responsibilities. High school diploma or GED supplemented by continuing education, training, or experience in any academic or professional setting that you deem appropriately qualifies you for either of these positions.
Valid Washington State driver license at the time of hire.
WSTIP will hire either a Claims Specialist 1 or a Claims Specialist 2 based upon the best fit for the agency.
Desirable Qualifications
Familiarity with assessing liability/negligence/risk, insurance coverage/claims, and pooling.
Software used in this position include:
Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Origami (Risk Management Information System)
